Steps to Enroll
Step 1: Gather All Of The Required Documents
Certified birth certificate (original – not photocopy).
Parent/guardian photo ID.
Two acceptable proofs of residency. PDFs available in English, Spanish & Arabic.
Bring the child if a language other than English is spoken in the home for the state-required language assessment.
If your student has an IEP for students receiving special education services, complete this Consent for release of information SpEd form.
The forms below will be given to you during your visit or you can print them before coming to the Welcome Center.
Step 2: Visit The Welcome Center or Enroll Online
School Year: 2024-2025
Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year is now available online or in-person.
RPS 205 offers several alternative special program schools that give our families a public education option outside of their regular neighborhood zone school. Enrollment for these schools has additional criteria. Learn More.
Online
To complete an enrollment online you must be able to upload all of the required documents in step 1. If you are unable to upload those electronically please proceed to the in-person enrollment instructions below.
If a language other than English is spoken in the home, the child must be given an in-person language assessment in the Welcome Center required by the state.
Complete the online enrollment form by clicking HERE.
Respond quickly to any requests for additional information (ex. incorrect or blurry document submitted) to avoid interruptions in the enrollment.
Expect an email and/or phone call. Your child's enrollment is not complete until you receive confirmation of your child's school assignment by a Welcome Center specialist.
In-Person
To enroll for next school year, visit the Welcome Center. Students entering grades 6-12 may enroll at their zone middle or high school or at the Welcome Center.
Be sure to bring all of the required documents in step 1.

An enrollment specialist will confirm your child's school assignment during your visit.

Steps to Update Address for Grades K-12

Step 2: Complete The Change Of Address Form
Online
To complete a change of address online you must be able to upload all of the required documents in step 1. If you are unable to upload those electronically please proceed to the in-person instructions below.
